Project F.A.B

And Now the End is Near...

March 07, 2017 | 1 Minute Read

Last Friday six members of our team travelled to Larbert to give an introductory talk to the three primaries involved in the project. All in all, it was very successful. The children seemed to be really engaged with what they were learning (even the younger kids who had never been taught anything quite like what we were endeavouring to teach). They came up with some brilliant questions and answers about physics, asking us things such as “what made the Big Bang?”, to which we were lost for words.

After we introduced them to the project and the ideas they were going to be covering, the Larbert High School students took over to teach their first lesson which we heard all went very well. They have two more lessons to go, which will delve deeper into the ideas introduced on Friday and hopefully encourage the children to develop an interest in science.

Update on launch: only two weeks to go (EEK)! Our Supreme Leader, Fraser, has been working hard to perfect all our code and the team has been busy building the payloads for the balloons. It’s all coming together now. Hopefully it’ll be smooth sailing from here on out (pray for us).
